Basic Course 28 to 30 June, 2018 Tutors: Josep Malvehy M.D., Javiera Pérez Anker M.D Dermatology department, Melanoma unit, University of Barcelona, Hospital Clínic Presentation On behalf of the Barcelona team it’s our pleasure to welcome you in Barcelona with this training course designed for professionals involved in Mohs surgery that need training in ex vivo confocal microscopy. The program includes an introduction to ex-vivo confocal microscopy with the equipment VS 2500 Gen 4 including fluorescent and reflectance imaging and correlation with frozen sections with the aim to teach the tissue handling, staining, imaging and reading of the specimens of normal skin and skin cancer. The student will have the opportunity to work in small groups with practical cases and participate in the tissue preparation and reading cases.
